8 must listen Podcasts for online entrepreneurs

I keep banging on about how being a podcast junkie but have never actually shared my favourite podcasts with you! Let’s fix that – today I give you my Top 8 must listen Podcasts for online entrepreneurs.

Mixergy

Contents

The Mixergy Podcast is a beast. If you’ve never heard of Andrew Warner before don’t worry – you will. Mixergy is well over 1300 episodes at this point. What I love about Mixergy is Andrews interviewing style. He is a special talent for being able to extract really valuable gems from his guests and is not afraid to ask tough, probing questions that other less experienced Podcasters simply wouldn’t have the skill or confidence to tackle. I often find myself willing Andrew to ask one of his guests a particular question and more often than not Andrew will ask that very same question – something which is really easy for someone listening to a podcast to do – but very difficult to an interviewer to do. For Mixergy is without a doubt the single best Podcast anyone looking to build a business online should be listening to religiously.

Smart Passive Income Podcast

Pat Flynn is pretty much the poster boy for the Internet Marketing world. In a world where there’s no shortage of over inflated egos and assholes, Pat’s humility and integrity is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been a weekly listener since episode one and Pat’s growth from a hesitant podcaster to an absolute pro has been a joy to experience. Pat recently redesigned his website and has collated a curated list of his most popular podcasts which should be more than enough to get you hooked on this awesome sauce.

Entrepreneur on Fire

John Lee Dumas is a phenomenon. His journey from zero to a business that regularly generates in excess of half a million dollars per month is nothing short of sensational. John was one of the first podcasters to produce kick ass content every single day and showed what hard work and seizing an opportunity in a rapidly growing market can do. Now up to nearly 1300 episodes, EOFire is required listening for anyone in the business of making a living online.  I’ve no idea how long Mr. Dumas can keep going producing such kickass content on a regular basis but it sure doesn’t look like it’s going to be stopping anytime soon!

Starting from Zero

Starting from Zero is not as well known as a lot of the other podcasts on this list but it’s already become a firm favourite of mine. What I love about Starting from Zero is that tries to chart entrepreneurs journeys right from the very beginning. There are tons of podcasts that cover success stories once they’ve been realized  – but very few that try to go back to what was required to get something off the ground from nothing. That’s why Starting From Zero is a must listen.

Internet Business Mastery

Jeremy and Jason have one of the longest running podcasts about growing and running an online business. We’ve got those 2 guys to thank for nurturing Pat Flynn’s early forays into growing an Internet business. This is a great podcast as it mixes different content formats from interviews with successful online entrepreneurs to guides on various aspects of making a living online. I’m very fond of this one as it was one of the first podcasts I became a loyal listener to and still do to this day.

Freedom Fast Lane

This is a reasonably new one to me – I first came across Freedom Fast Lane when Ryan Moran was a guest on the SPI podcast – which was a fantastic insight on how to grow a business to over 1 million dollars in 12 months. Ryan’s style can be a little bit over confident at times but nevertheless the content is stellar and I find myself coming back to this one week after week.

The Tim Ferris Show

Most people who start an online business know who Tim Ferris is. Heck, he probably inspired a decent chunk of online entrepreneurs to take action and start an online business to start with due to the huge success of his 4 hour book series. The Tim Ferris Show is not strictly a podcast about making a living online – it’s much much more than that. Tim’s fame gets him access to some of the most successful people on the planet. His episode with Arnold Schwarzeneggar is riveting.

For anyone who wants to understand what goes through the minds of some of the most sucessful people on the planet this is required listening.

James Altucher

James has written one of my favourite books of the last few years. When James revealed he was starting a podcast I was delighted. Despite a shaky start in the first few episodes James has gone on to produce some riveting episodes. Check out this recent episode with the venerable Gary Vaynerchuck.

I could keep going but I think 8 podcasts is more than enough to get your teeth stuck into 🙂
